VIP Moments also known as “WE D.R.E.A.M., inc.” is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization designed to create an unconventional process that rebuilds the fundamental areas of disconnected youth through innovative strategies and solutions.

We are dedicated to developing innovative opportunities for youth at risk of dropping out as well as out of school youth (OS). VIP Moments, Inc. once known as We D.R.E.A.M., Inc. has been working at the grassroots level since 2011 to serve youth within the Springfield community.

Essentials & Drip is an incentive and service program designed to motivate, meet basic needs, and cultivate creative experiences for out of school (OS) and at-risk youth through innovative strategies and solutions in order to increase school re-engagement, school re-entry and most importantly celebrate their journey.

We utilize an engagement focus approach to cultivate relationships between youth and their school, community resources as well as their peers. Emphasis is placed on 1) Building rapport as our goal is to become the bridge between youth who have lost trust and the resources needed for them to strive, dream, and successfully transition into adulthood as well as 2) creativity. We value the discovery of new methods as we develop unique moments of service and activities in order to create a healthy frenzy among youth who are yearning for exposure, connections, and fresh experiences within their community.

The design framework for our services includes 1) conduct intake, 2), Assess, and 3) provide effective and comprehensive services, and activities. Each service and activity is introduced with a complimentary interaction to drive awareness and participation. We currently seek to serve youth 14-21 years of age.

1. Celebratory surprises: Items will be presented quarterly upon surprise for youth making progress toward their personal goals (i.e., academically, attendance, re-entry) (Coming Soon!).
2. Contest & Giveaways: Youth can compete through simple, engaging activities to bring awareness to organization and drive participation (Coming Soon!).

Why I started VIP Moments…

When I started this nonprofit organization years ago my goal was to help youth achieve academically, expose them to new things, identify what they love to do and provide a bridge for them obtain it. But when you truly listen to the voices of youth, you discover what they crave most…to be valued, accepted, respected, and celebrated! Youth who are current dropouts or at risk of dropping out are no different. So, I decided to blend my education, love for youth who require a little more attention, and the creative part of me to develop an innovative solution that aspires youth to D.R.E.A.M. (Driven to Reach Every Aspiration and Master) again.

I’m a Springfield native who developed a strong sense of devotion for youth when I began my career in 2004 for the Springfield Public Schools. The breeding ground that cultivated my desire to launch a nonprofit organization that fulfills the needs and interests of disconnected youth was my work in Brooklyn, NY at an alternative high school.

After years as an educator in student support services within Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York City, I took a step of faith and launched We D.R.E.A.M., inc. to benefit my hometown city in 2011 with a successful pilot program. For over a decade, I have been working at the grassroots level along with a few special people to grow the seed that was planted so many years ago.

Education

I’m a graduate of the High School of Science and Technology, received my A.A. from Springfield Technical Community College, B.S. from Worcester State University, and M.S. Ed from St. John’s University.
